Avneer Dhillon, MCP, RCC

I believe we are constantly changing, and each of us are capable of directing that change toward becoming the person we want to be. How we arrive there, of course, is the difficult part. I’m here to walk alongside you, through the depths of your inner workings, with both curiosity and challenge. My focus is on getting to know the real, whole you, so we can understand both where you are today, and more clearly where you want to be.

As a South Asian woman, my bicultural identity serves as a reminder of the complexity of culture, and how it can impact oneself. This dual perspective empowers me to tailor my interventions, embrace cultural nuances, and hold a safe and inclusive space where clients can freely explore their identities.

I help people slow down enough to feel their emotions, understand their hurts, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that have been pushed aside for survival. Together, we explore not just what you’re experiencing, but what it means.
I’m drawn to what lies beneath: early experiences, attachment patterns, nervous system responses, and the ways these continue to shape adult life and relationships. This is about healing from the ground up.

my approach

& what to expect

My approach is rooted in the belief that we can all grow and learn to live life on our own terms. I embrace navigating a space with curiosity and challenge in order to fully explore the difficulties you are facing.

I invite an integrative approach into our sessions pulling evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural strategies, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. Rather than focusing simply on diagnosis, we will work together on symptoms you are experiencing and would like to change. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. While techniques are important, we believe meaningful healing happens through a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship.

My role is not to fix you, but to create a space where healing can unfold at your pace, guided by your goals. Some sessions may feel gentle and reflective, while others feel like you finished climbing a mountain.
